G-finned Tube

G-finned Tube

The advantage of G-finned tube is that it improves the heat exchange efficiency. By increasing the number of fins on the base tube surface, it increases the outer surface area (or inner surface area), thereby achieving the purpose of high-efficiency heat exchange.

Introduction

G-finned Tube is a high-bonding-strength heat exchange tube in which metal fins are mechanically embedded in the base tube groove. It is widely used in medium and high temperature applications such as boilers, air preheaters, waste heat recovery, and petrochemical industries.

Features

Extremely High Fin Bonding Strength

The G-finned Tube employs a "mechanical embedding + cold-working compaction" structure, firmly embedding the fin roots into prefabricated grooves.

Corrosion Resistance
The embedded structure reduces the risk of crevice corrosion, and the tight contact between the fins and the base tube prevents the accumulation of moisture or corrosive media.

More Stable Heat Exchange Efficiency
The large contact area between the fins and the base tube, along with a short heat conduction path, results in lower thermal resistance.

Manufacturing Process

Base Tube Grooving
Spiral grooves are machined on the outer wall of the base tube using precision machining equipment. The groove depth and width are strictly controlled.

Mechanical Fin Insertion
Metal fins are continuously pushed into the grooves using a specialized inserting machine, while simultaneously being cold-worked to create a "mechanical lock" between the fins and the groove opening.

Straightening and Sizing
After inserting, overall straightening and outer diameter calibration are performed to ensure consistent fin height, uniform spacing, and a straight tube body.

Comprehensive Quality Inspection
Fin height, bonding strength, groove machining accuracy, appearance, dimensions, and random pull-out tests are conducted.

Packaging and Shipping

Packaging Method
We use a moisture-proof film wrapping + reinforced anti-collision pads + custom wooden crates or steel frame pallets. The fin area is separated into layers to prevent the fins from bending under pressure.

Shipping Method
We support sea, land, and air freight. Full container load (FCL) or less-than-container load (LCL) options are available depending on order size. We provide comprehensive moisture and rust protection measures to ensure the product remains intact during long-distance transportation.
